Venue Manager @ Zypher Lounge · Systems Builder

I run a high-end venue in Perth. I built the systems that run it for me.

A few things I built

Five systems running the floor, the books and the buying — most of them unattended.

01

Weekly Report

The owner stays on top of the venue without stepping in.

  • Real net profit — what's left after every real cost, not just sales.
  • Labour as % of revenue — how much each dollar spends on staff.
  • Revenue per night — which nights carry the week.
  • Ask-the-AI chat — answers straight from your own numbers.
  • Cost per night — what a night must earn to break even.
02

Finance & Performance

Every cost tracked, every KPI already on screen.

  • Profit and Margin — what's left after every real cost, not just sales.
  • Every expense tracked — invoices, wages, rent, all read automatically, nothing typed by hand.
  • Dashboard with key KPIs — every number already calculated and on screen, nothing left to work out.
  • Easy to use — open the page, check the numbers, done.

Customer service

Every booking email and text answered, in the venue's voice.

  • AI reads the whole thread — then writes a summary of the conversation, a checklist of what is settled and what is still missing, and the reply draft.
  • Creates the booking itself — date, guests and table go straight into the diary, no typing.
  • Answers booking texts too — a customer SMS gets a reply in minutes, not the next morning.
  • Writes like a person — warm, in the venue's voice, never a robotic template.
  • Human always in control — anything unusual waits for one tap before it goes out.
04

Staff tools

Manager time salving, staff updated

Everything the team needs for a shift lives on the iPad: the night's briefing, allergens, wine and sake origins, recipes, tasks, events and the shopping list. A guest asks a question, the answer is one tap away. Nobody looks for the manager, nobody guesses, and every night runs the same way whoever is on shift.

Shopping Automation

Cuts hours of hands-on ordering every week.

  • One card per supplier — every item to order, with quantity, price and subtotal, grouped by who sells it.
  • Staff tick, manager reviews — the team marks what is low during the week, the order builds itself.
  • Order email ready in one click — writes the email, correct codes and names, only press Send.
  • Minimums checked — the card warns when an order is under the supplier's minimum before it goes out.
  • Knows what to buy — items come up to order based on how often and how much they are bought.
